City’s Oil and Chip Road Maintenance Program Set for August 4-5, 2026, in Edwardsville

EDWARDSVILLE – The City of Edwardsville’s 2026 oil and chip road maintenance program is scheduled to get underway the first week of August on select portions of about 40 roads.

The work is weather dependent, but expected to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4-5.

Affected streets will have temporary closures, and motorists should expect delays. “No parking” signs will be placed before the work begins so residents can make arrangements for parking and travel.

The City appreciates the public’s cooperation as the work takes place. Please be patient and proceed with caution if workers are present.

• Brown Avenue South from Logan Place to Hale Avenue

• Buchanan Street from Payne Street to Union Street East

• Dewey Street from Springer Street to Paul Street

• East Lake Drive from Mallard Lane to Park Drive

• East Avenue from Madison Avenue to Lake Avenue

• Fillmore Street North from City limits to Orchard Street

• Garfield Street from Sherman to Sheridan Avenues and from Sheridan to end

• Goshen Road from District Drive to Staunton Road

• Gueltig Street starting at Spring Avenue
