MADISON COUNTY - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced the retirement of Jaime Tharp after 29 years of service, recognizing her long tenure with the agency and her work in both support staff and the Jail Division.
The sheriff's office said Tharp served 19 years on the agency's support staff and 10 years in the Jail Division as a deputy for 29 total years with the organization.

Tharp has been a Difference Maker in the region in her years of service with the sheriff's office.
“Throughout her remarkable career, Jaime served our agency and community with commitment and heart,” Madison County Sheriff Jeff Connor said.
Connor said Tharp had been “a steadfast part of our team” for nearly three decades, “supporting fellow personnel, serving our community, and helping keep our operations running behind the scenes and on the front lines.”
The sheriff also praised Tharp’s “dedication, professionalism, and years of hard work,” saying these traits “have left a lasting mark on our agency.”
“Please join us in wishing Jaime a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement,” he said. “Enjoy this next chapter — you’ve earned every moment of it.”
“Thank you for 29 years of service, Jaime. Congratulations.”
