Gordon allegedly stole a Louis Vuitton satchel, bracelet and U.S. currency from one individual and a necklace and more U.S. currency from a second individual by use of force on Sept. 23, 2026. On the same date, Gordon is accused of acting together with a juvenile and “other unidentified persons” in striking the two victims, according to charging documents.

According to the state’s petition to keep Gordon detained pending trial, both victims reported being attacked by multiple people while the two were “playing a dice game.” The victims reported being struck multiple times and having their property stolen.

“Victims provided photos of the people involved in the dice game, as well as photos sent to them of the assailants wearing their stolen bag, necklace and bracelet, after the robbery,” the petition states. “This defendant is clearly identifiable in photographs at the scene of the robbery, then wearing the victim's stolen bracelet.”

Gordon was later found in possession of the stolen property during a traffic stop and was detained. While he admitted to being present at the dice game and witnessing the attack, he claimed to have gotten the bracelet and Louis Vuitton bag from a friend on a separate occasion.

The state’s petition was denied and a release order was filed, granting Gordon pretrial release from custody under certain conditions.

According to the release order, Gordon was involved in a “fist fight” at a student housing complex for a university he was not currently enrolled in at the time of the incident. The order states he has no criminal history, no relationship to the victims or relationship to the location of the altercation.

Under the conditions of his release, Gordon has been ordered to have no contact with the victims or minor involved in this case, and not to enter or remain on the premises of the Enclave student housing complex in Edwardsville.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
