About this event

The Bosnia Memory Project at Fontbonne University presents the 2018 Civic Courage Award, to be presented to Hasan Nuhanovi?, author and advocate for justice, for courage and commitment to the civic values of respect, equality, and pluralism that represent the best traditions of Bosnia-Herzegovina. A survivor of the 1995 genocide in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nuhanovi? has worked tirelessly for 23 years to bring truth to the world and justice to Srebrenica’s victims.

The event is free and open to the public and will be conducted in Bosnian. A discussion will follow a public address by Nuhanovi?. A separate event in English takes place at the Fontbonne University Library on February 7 at 6 p.m.
