Yoga Basics: Introduction to Yoga

Did you resolve to have a healthier lifestyle this year but are still struggling to get it? Yoga can be a key part of your overall wellness plan.

In this 6-week course beginning Sept. 12, you’ll learn:

* fundamental yoga postures and how to put them together for sun salutations * breathing techniques used during a practice * how to use meditation and relaxation techniques to quiet the mind * yoga philosophy and how yoga can be incorporated in our daily lives

Safety will be emphasized and students can expect a slow pace with detailed instructions. Course taught by Danette Watt and Andrea Chancey.
