About this event

Perhaps you’ve heard that you should grow native plants to attract more butterflies. Maybe you have the perception that native plants are “weedy.” Sue Leahy with St. Louis Wild Ones, will talk about why native plants are important to the ecosystem and what you can plant to bring more birds, bees, and butterflies to your yard. She will also show basic design elements to keep your yard from looking “wild” and provide maintenance tips to keep your garden looking its best. Join us on Wednesday, May 24, at 6 pm, in the Multipurpose Room at Hayner Library at Alton Square Mall, to get the “buzz” about natives!
