SIUE Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run & Pancake Breakfast

Join the SIUE Alumni Association for the eighth annual Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run as part of Cougar State of Mind: Homecoming and Family Weekend 2023. Named the Final Lap Race Management's Best Directed event in 2022, this year's run offers both in-person and virtual 10K, 5K and one-mile runs. Community members, students and alumni are encouraged to participate. Run proceeds will go to the SIUE Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, which proudly awards over $20,000 each year to incoming and current SIUE students. Your support will help our campus community define the future of SIUE.

Want to join us on campus for the in-person Run?

• The in-person run will take place on Saturday, October 14 on the beautiful SIUE campus with the new start and finish location in the SIUE Stratton Quad.
• The first run will begin at 9 a.m
• All registered in-person runners will receive a complimentary pancake breakfast from Chris Cakes, post-run beer from Global Brew (runners 21 and over) as well as an optional family-friendly Eddiepalooza and a partial solar eclipse viewing in the Quad to follow.

Need to run virtually?

1. The virtual run can be completed anytime and anywhere between October 11-15.
2. Register for a virtual 10K, 5K or 1 mile and invite your friends to join!
3. Run/walk the distance inside on your treadmill or outside on a course of your choosing anytime between October 11-15.
4. Report your time using the special link that is emailed to you after you register.
5. Send a run selfie to siuealumni@siue.edu to be featured in a post-event video montage.
