Greenhouse Project- Volunteer orientation

We have started gearing up for our greenhouse season here at Th e Nature Institute. Many of you have expressed interest in volunteering in our greenhouse. This year, we will be propagating approximately 30 speci es of native plants. Volunteer opportunities will start as early as mid Fe bruary and continue until as late as mid June.

On Thursday January 31, 2019 from 6:30 p.m., we will gather at Talahi Lodge at The Nature instit ute for an hour to meet everyone, discuss ways to contribute to our nativ e plant production and share our work timeline. Everyone is welcome and ca n be trained, but previous greenhouse experience is a plus.

For those that have volunteered in the past, we will be doing some things slightly different this year. We have a few new tools and techniques we will utiliz e and more ideas than time. Also, we have a series of events planned that will lead up to our native plant sale.
