Alton Police believe they have identified the suspects in a pair of gun incidents overnight. Just after midnight Wednesday, a 22-year-old woman was struck by a stray bullet while studying in her home in the 200 block of Madison Avenue. She suffered what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Alton Police Chief Jason Simmons described the scenario to The Big Z.

She was taken to a St. Louis hospital for treatment. Then at about 4:30am shots were fired at a car in the 800 block of Gold Street. Simmons says they believe the suspects in both incidents have been identified, and arrests are imminent. The suspects, he believes, are between the ages of 19 and 23.
