A Granite City man is charged in a weekend shooting. Police say 22-year-old Daishaun M. Jones-Dillon of the 2100 block of Amos Avenue in Granite City fired a gun during the course of a domestic disturbance at his home. He is charged with Attempt First Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Aggravated Domestic Battery.
The victim was shot in the arm and chest, according to charges provided by the Madison County State's Attorney's office. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is undergoing treatment. Jones-Dillon was taken into custody the same day as the incident, and is being held in the Madison County Jail on a $1-million bond.
