Tonight may be the end of Dr. Dale Chapman’s tenure as President of Lewis and Clark Community College. The Board of Trustees has posted an agenda that includes an action item calling for either a separation and resignation agreement, or to terminate his employment.

The next item on the agenda is the appointment of an interim president. Chapman learned in October he would not be returned at the end of his contract, which expires next summer. The board has been split 4-3 on this and numerous other issues, with Board President David Heyen, and those he campaigned for in the April election: Julie Johnson, Kevin Rust, and Charles Hanfelder voting together. Opposition to those four has been trustees Brenda Walker McCain, Dwight Werts and Robert Watson. Tonight’s meeting in the Trimpe Building begins at 7pm.
