Alton Police have brought charges in a shooting that took place Wednesday evening at a home in the 2500 block of Salu Street in Upper Alton. A 19-year-old victim was shot in the foot during a dispute. Now charged with Aggravated Battery and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon is 51-year-old Anthony Greer of the 1,300 block of Hampton Street.
The injuries to the teen are not believed to be life threatening. Alton Police Chief of Detectives Lieutenant Seth Stinnett tells The Big Z the shooting happened during what is believed to be a domestic incident.

The teen is believed to be the son of Greer’s ex-girlfriend. Stinnett says Greer is not currently in custody and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you know of Greer’s whereabouts, you are asked to call police at 463-3505.
