Students at East Alton – Wood River High School have spent much of the past year learning through a hybrid model. That could be going away, with the Board of Education voting to return to a more normal learning strategy of having the kids in class beginning with the fall semester.

Superintendent Dr. John Pearson tells The Big Z it won’t be a complete return to normal.

By the time the 2021-22 school year begins, there will be a new superintendent on the job. Pearson retires at the end of June. The current Superintendent of the Sandoval School District Rob Miller will take over the job on July 1.
