There are now 1,865 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in 35 counties in Illinois. The virus has killed three more people as of the Wednesday afternoon update: a Kane County man in his 90s, a Cook County man in his 60s, and a Will County woman in her 50s.
One additional case has been reported in Madison County, bringing the total to three. Dr. Ngozi Ezike, head of the state Department of Public Health says the statewide spread of the illness is to be expected.

As for other neighboring counties, St. Clair is reporting 7 positive cases, with no known cases yet in Calhoun, Greene, Jersey or Macoupin counties.
