If you're looking for homegrown produce, look no further than the Jersey County Farmers and Artisans Market. The outdoor market begins this Tuesday and runs each Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM through September 22nd. Everything for sale is either homegrown or handmade by local Jersey County vendors.
The event is held at Outrageous Outdoors on South State Street. Jersey County Business Association Special Events Coordinator Whitney McIver tells the Big Z there will be some changes to how things work due to public health concerns.

She says this is similar to the process being used at the Alton market. McIver reminds there are other health considerations in play and asks all who attend to follow the guidelines that will be posted around the market. Vendors interested in selling at the Farmers and Artisans Market may call 618-639-5222 or go to www.jcba-il.us/market to find out more details.
