The number of positive cases of COVID 19 in Madison County increased by 219 on Friday.  With that, the Madison County Health Department reported 2 additional deaths.  So far, 219 people in Madison County have died as a result of COVID-19 complications.

There are 6,509 active cases and 5,797 released. The 7-day positivity rate remains at just over 21%, well above the 8% state goal. All local and state health officials say people should stay home as much as possible, avoid large gatherings, wear a mask anytime you are away from home and in public, and wash your hands frequently.
