Local school boards held elections as well on Tuesday and in Bethalto, Jeff Whaley, Tom Beierman, Tad Middleton, and Sharon Rothe received the most votes out of the five candidates.  Jeremy Nolte fell 13 votes short in 5th place.

For the East Alton Elementary District, the four candidates elected were Kraig Daniels, Kacie Bamert, Joan Mudge and Margaret Foiles. 

No challengers for the race on the Alton School District, with incumbents Ed Gray, Rosetta Brown, and Barry Macias reelected along with newcomer Dustin Christner all elected to four-year terms.
