A South Roxana man has been charged with burglary and criminal damage to property, but police say his intent was to try to kidnap someone at the Central Park Place Apartments on Sunday. 36 year old Scott Fox, who also lives at the apartments, was arrested, charged and remains in the Madison County Jail.
South Roxana Police report officers were called to the apartments around noon Sunday after someone kicked in the door of a residence. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving, but the investigation continued. On Monday, police returned and took Fox into custody and he was formally charged by the Madison County State's Attorney's Office. Fox allegedly kicked in a door of a neighbors residence with the intentions of kidnapping the resident. Bond was set at $125,000.
