East Alton-Wood River Community High School has seen about a month of hybrid learning, and so far, the Superintendent is pleased with what he has seen. Like many other schools, EA/WR is executing a blend of in class instruction for their classes (with a shorter day) and some online requirements to finish at home. Students also have the option of remote-only learning if parents are concerned for their child’s health.
EA/WR Superintendent Dr. John Pearson recently spoke with the Big Z and says it would still be ideal to get back to normal.

Standard safety measures are in place on the campus, including the wearing of face masks inside the buildings, social distancing, and frequent reminders given to stay home if one is feeling ill.
