Tina M. Schubert, age 64, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 9:57 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Tina was the former owner of Tina’s Pet Grooming & Nina’s Pet Grooming in Edwardsville. She was born January 22, 1952, in St. Louis the daughter of the late William C. & Mavis (Ray) Smith. She married Melvin L. Schubert on January 21, 1984 in Edwardsville. Besides her husband Melvin she is survived by 1 son, Russell A. Schubert & fiancée Christina M. Schanuel of Roxana; and 1 uncle, Ollie George of Florida. Tina was preceded in death by 1 son, Arthur Raymond Schubert, 1 brother and 1 sister. Tina was known for her love of animals. She raised exotic birds and cared for all types of injured animals. She had a love for life. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the funeral home with Fr. Jeff Goeckner officiating . Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery. Family requests memorials to the Metro East Humane Society.
