Joy Kay Winslow, 68, passed away 6:32 pm Sunday August 26, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born July 15, 1950 in Jerseyville the daughter of Gilbert & Bessie (Daniels) Whitlock. She was adopted by Barney and Jennie Davis.
Joy married Robert "Bob" Winslow Sr. on July 20, 1968 in Alton and he preceded her in death.
She worked for Sigma Aldridge Chemical Company in the accounting department and had just recently retired.
Joy loved reading, watching movies with family, crocheting, spending time with grandchildren, going to concerts and listening to music.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Winslow (Laura), Robert Winslow Jr. (Pam) both of Bethalto; and Kenny Winslow (Becky) of Springfield; a daughter, Sharon Winslow of Alton; seven grandchildren, Bobby Winslow III (Mary Beth St. Peters), Ryan, Hailey, Abby, Drew, Alaina, and Grace Winslow; a granddoggie, Beau; five siblings, Connie Gettings, Lela Seidler (Jeff), Ernie Whitlock (Ruth), Clifford Link (Dorothy), Barney Davis Jr. (Briana); a brother-in-law, Edwin Klein; and a best friend Jan Duncan.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and David Whitlock; and a sister, Ruth Klein.
Visitation will from 5 -8 pm Friday August 31, 2018 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday September 1, 2018 with Pastor John Parrish officiating.
Burial will follow at Alton City Cemetery.
