Albert Manring

Albert Noal Manring, 90, passed away 3:47 pm, Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his residence.

Born October 30, 1928 in Fairbury, IL, he was the son of Amos Noal "Ted" Manring and Iva Lee (Webb) Humble.

A U,S, Navy veteran, he was employed as an electrician for I.B.W. Local 649 for over 50 years before retiring.  He later went to work for Riverbender.com.  Albert was a 48 year member of Masonic lodge #1062 in Wood River and a member of Hartford Assembly of God Church.

On December 23, 1944 in Edwardsville, he married Juanita Warner.  She survives.

Surviving also are a son, Ricky Manring of San Francisco, CA; daughters, Linda (Duke) Maple of Wood River, Karen (Jim) Birr of Florissant, MO, Vicky Schlemmer of Roxana; grandchildren, April Marburger, Joshua Schlemmer, Summer Birr, Kirstie Feyerabend and Nichole Birr; seven great grandchildren; and brother, Byron (Anne) Humble of Phoenix, AZ.

His parents preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Friday, May 17 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  A Masonic Ritual by Lodge 1062 will be conducted at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday at the funeral home.  Pastor David Fields will officiate.

Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.  Alton V.F.W. Post 1308 will provide military honors.
