Darvin R. Chaney, 89, passed away at 12:57 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on January 2, 1930 in Wood River Township to Oscar and Birdie Chaney.
Darvin married Doris in Whitehall, she preceded him in death.
He was a US Navy Veteran and worked for the United States Postal Service in Godfrey, IL for 30 years. He was also a member of the Jerseyville Moose Lodge, Alton Horticulture Society, Illinois State Bank of East Alton Golden Venture Club, and the Bethalto Bank Goldenaires Club.
Darvin is survived by his son; David Chaney of Godfrey, IL.
A visitation will be held on Monday May 20, 2019 from 9am till the time of service at 11 am at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
