Theodore G. Schrage, age 82 of Pocahontas, IL, died Friday, May 17, 2019, at his residence in Pocahontas, IL.
He was born on February 12, 1937, in St. Rose, IL, the son of Theodore and Gertrude (nee Kampwerth) Schrage.
On October 04, 1960, he married Marie I. Drake in Breese, IL at St. Dominick's Church. She survives in Pocahontas, IL .
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL. He was also a member of VFW Post #5694 Highland, IL; American Legion Post #1104 Pocahontas; Knights of Columbus Council #1580 Highland, IL; member of NFO for 2 Years; (Retired) Captain of Highland-Pierron Fire Department.
Ted was born at St. Rose and attended St. Rose School. He helped with the family farm then joined the US Air Force for three years with service in the South Pacific, and discharged in 1960. After the service he came to Pocahontas and has been farming ever since in the Jamestown Bottoms. He ran his dairy until the 1980's but continued to operate livestock and grain. He farmed until this past year. Off the farm he worked at Pierron Elevator, Laborer for Local #100 on the Poplar Street Bridge, Metro Ag, and Arrow Group in Breese. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, raccoon and deer hunting, cutting fire wood, and taking his wife out to eat. he was a good husband, father and a true role model for his family. He was very proud of his farm, "It was his life".

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL, with Father Paul J. Bonk officiating.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Pierron, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made as Masses or to the Family.
