Berneice Elizabeth (Brewer) Wall, 95, of Bethalto, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 10:15 pm, at Cedarhurst of Bethalto.
She was born on May 10, 1924 in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Rev. George Atwell and Zela (Winkleblack) Brewer. She married Eldon Wall on February 11, 1950 in Sorento Assembly of God. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2009.
Berneice was a member of Sorento Assembly of God Church. She was actively involved in the church for over 50 years serving in many capacities including teaching Sunday school, playing the piano and serving as secretary and treasurer. Berneice loved to be on the farm with her husband helping in every way.
She is survived by a sister, Catherine Baker of Kansas City; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Berneice was preceded in death by her brothers, George (Sonny), Paul, and Richard Brewer; and sisters, Virginia Cromeans and Marcella Walker.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at Sorento Assembly of God Church. Pastor Phil Schneider will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento, IL. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.
