Rebecca Dee (Winder) Elliott, left this world on Monday, September 2, 2019 of unknown causes, at the age of 52 years young.

Rebecca was born on December 1, 1966 in Compton, California to Leslie Roy and Linda Lucille (Johnson).  As a child she developed an enthusiastic and compassionate outlook on life, her ambition preceded her. She excelled in many sports, including: Cheerleading, Soccer, Softball, Horseback Riding and could really tear it up on her stand-up jet-ski.

She grew into her charismatic and genuinely loving soul, gaining lifelong friends along the way.

Shortly after graduating from Chino High School, she started work at Alpha Beta, where she met her first husband, and love of her life. Together they had a daughter, which made Rebecca realize her true calling ' motherhood. Her children were her absolute world.

Surviving are  two daughters, Terrah Elizabeth Lucille Winder 'Ter-Bear' of St. George, UT and Kasidee Nicole Michelle Elliott 'Choobie' of Edwardsville; a son, Timothy Logen Elliott 'Booger' of Fort Riley, KS; her parents, Donald and Linda Layman of Jerseyville; two sisters, Michelle Fraley and Jessica Layman, both of Jerseyville; five brothers and a sister in-law, Eric and Miriam Winder of Decatur; Matthew Winder of Charlotte, NC; Joshua Winder of Seattle, WA; Luke Winder of Redding, CA and Adam Winder of Bastrop, TX; nephews and their spouses, Curtis and Stephanie Winder; Donald and Stacy Winder, Eric and Ellie Winder; Jacob Detto; Joseph Velarde and Dryden Taylor; nieces and their spouses, Lyndee and Kevin Bell; Natasha and Robbie Noll; Kylie Roady and Dresden Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Roy Winder; grandparents, Harry and Lucille Johnson and Lesley and Cora Winder; a very special aunt, Pamela Johnson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of funeral services at 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the family, in care of the funeral home.
