Karen Sue Gray, 76 of Greenville, Illinois formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Greenville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, Illinois.
Karen was born on August 8, 1943 in Granite City; the daughter of the late Stanley and Alma (Hedrick) Walk. Karen was a homemaker and mom who was a former member of Central Christian Church in Granite City. Karen enjoyed her days of sewing, knitting and crocheting or being outside fishing. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and she will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Karen is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Thomas T. Gray, whom she married on April 19, 1958; her children, Coleen and Pat Olson of Edwardsville, IL, T.J. and Cheryl Gray of Edwardsville, IL; grandchildren, Kera Olson, Brittani Riggins; special sister, Cathiann Barker Pace and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her daughter; Sharon Riggins.
In celebration of Karen’s life, visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Derrell Brame officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates. Memorial donations are suggested to the Granite City A.P.A.
