Olga Vizer

Olga Mary Vizer, 88, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:37 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her home.  She was born January 25, 1932 in Godfrey, Illinois, a daughter of the late Mathia and Anna (Micklindin) Kudelka.  She enjoyed over 50 years of marriage with Jack E. Vizer and he passed away on April 9, 2013.  She retired in 2000 from St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Granite City after 28 years of dedicated service as a pharmacy technician.  She was a devoted and loving homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed her years of attending Johnson Road General Baptist Church in Granite City and cherished listening to the beautiful hymns.  She enjoyed her days of making porcelain dolls and loved watching her television shows.  She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. 

She is survived by three children and a son-in-law, Mark Vizer, Sheila and Rev. Larry Blankley and Craig Vizer, all of Granite City; three grandchildren and spouses, Loren and Timothy Scaturro Jr., Paul and Brandi Blankley and Sarah and Ryan Stromberg; two great grandchildren, Sophia and Dominic Scaturro; a sister, Ethel Bilbruck of East Alton; other extended family and friends.  In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mathias Kudelka Jr. and a sister, Mary Ann Bock.  A private visitation and funeral service will be held at the Johnson Road General Baptist Church in Granite City on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 with Reverend Larry Blankley officiating.  Private burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.  Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the Good Samaritan House in Granite City.  Irwin Chapel of Granite City in charge of arrangements.  www.irwinchapel.com
