Paul Scott Hamilton, 55, of Bethalto, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Beardstown, IL on June 24, 1965, the son of Paul and Mary (Greene) Hamilton. He married Jill R. Jones on July 11, 1987 at Bethalto Methodist Church.
Scott enjoyed camping, singing karaoke at the marina, bonfires, motorcycles and boats. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, Jill, he is survived by his children, Jennifer (Carlos Matos) Arnold-Matos of China Spring, TX, Jason Arnold of TX, and Sarah (Randy) Naylor of Bunker Hill; his siblings, Randy (Pam) Hamilton of Highland, Joe Hamilton of Jerseyville, Terri McCoy of Jerseyville, Pam (fiancé Dion Summers) Jones of Godfrey, Jeff (Helen) Hamilton of Godfrey, and Teri Minder of Rosewood Heights; and seven grandchildren, Jacob, Jalynn, Skyler, Lylah, Nico, Jada and Clyde.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Dominic Whitaker; his father-in-law, Clyde Jones, and a sister, Kim Hamilton.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, where services will also be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate.
