Candice Schaaf, 50, passed away on December 29, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
She was born on March 23, 1971, in Jerseyville to Ernest “Barney” Schaaf & Joyce Ann (Scott) Piper. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Fieldon.
She is survived by her daughter: Shayla Evering (Ira Moore); her mother: Joyce Ann Piper; her grandmother: Mildred Scott; her sister: Leslea Stephens (Jason Scoggins); her nephews: Matthew Schaaf (Ashley Bass) and Garrett Ontis (Nealy Porter); her great-niece and nephew: Alma and Gunner. She is preceded in death by her father, special companion: Richard Evering, and grandparents: Bert & Alma Schaaf and Robert Scott.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2021, at 12:00 (noon) at Fieldon United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
