Nancy L. Hastings, 74, died at 12:22 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born December 28, 1947, in Alton, she was the daughter of Martin and Adell (Parrish) Roberts. Mrs. Hastings worked at BJC Christian NE in record keeping and also for Olin Mills selling pictures. One of her most famous jobs was when she worked as a clown. Nancy was a talented decorator and loved to write poems. She grew up on a farm and loved to tell stories about her childhood on the farm. She was an avid card player and pool player and loved old movies. She loved to shop for ANYTHING and especially loved Christmas and had several trees decorated in her apartment year-round. A daredevil, she would try anything and always wanted to be a race car driver. Nancy was kind-hearted and would give even when she didn’t have it to give.
Surviving is a daughter, Michelle Zuckerman of Carlinville, two sons, Chris Fisher of Alton and Troy Fisher (Kara) of Godfrey, six grandchildren, Kasha Fisher, Brittany Fisher, Brady Zuckerman, Brandon Zuckerman, Justin Fisher, and Mackenzie Fisher, and six great-grandchildren, Melah Gomez, Elanie Gomez, Kinsley Churchhill, Ella Zuckerman, Kenzley Fisher, and Taelyn Fisher. One brother, Danny Roberts of Elsah, and a sister, Carol Logan of Godfrey.
