Jacquelin Faye McNatt, 87, passed away at 11:15 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.
She was born on September 26, 1936 in Cahokia, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sara Frances (Howell) Phillips.
Jackie grew up in Cahokia, where she graduated from Cahokia High School.
She married James Henry McNatt on February 18, 1956 at the Cahokia Church of Christ, and together they spent the first 23 years of their marriage residing in Cahokia and East Corondelet. In 1979, they relocated with their family after purchasing a farm in Otter Creek Township near Otterville.
While residing in Cahokia, she was employed with Emerson Electric and later worked in the Healthcare field as a CAN at both Alton Memorial Hospital and the former Greenwood Manor in Jerseyville, prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors, both camping and fishing. Later in life, she took up painting and crocheting and enjoyed surrounding herself with the company of her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren at the family farm.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter in-law, Noel “Tom” and Donna McNatt and James “JD” McNatt, all of Jerseyville; two grandchildren, Brad McNatt and Tara McNatt; six great grandchildren, Jace and Mace Rawe, Hayden, Ryder and Piper McNatt and Danny Cummings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James McNatt on October 25, 2014; a sister, Ida Eader and two brothers, Robert and William Phillips.
Private inurnment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
