Mark D. Beilsmith, 66, passed away at 6:49 pm on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
He was born on June 12, 1957, in Alton, IL to Vernon and Mary (Walter) Beilsmith.
He married Deborah Allen on May 21, 1983, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brighton, IL. She survives.
Mark was employed by Ardent Mills as a Grain Miller for over 47 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Mark was an avid St. Louis Blues fan and hockey player, hitting the ice three times a week. He enjoyed farming, snow skiing, water skiing and spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, Debbie, Mark is survived by two sons, Matthew Beilsmith of Brighton, IL, and Brett (Shannon) Beilsmith of Alton, IL, one daughter, Megan (Brett) Moore of Brighton, IL; three granddaughters, Lily Custer, Briley Moore, and Amelie Beilsmith; two grandsons, Brooks Moore, and Colm Beilsmith; four sisters, Sheryl Beilsmith of Alton, IL, Lynne (Tim) Burns of Alton, IL, Gayle (Tom) Madden of Saint Louis, MO, and Karen (Chris) Warren of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Tim (Therese) Beilsmith of St. Louis, MO, and Dan (Paige) Beilsmith of Brighton, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
