Richard Hugh Hazelton, 75, passed away at 12:26 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Alton, IL.
He was born on February 12, 1948 in Alton, IL to Harry and Ethel (Bloodsworth) Hazelton.
He attended school at Julliard School of Dance. After graduating, Richard danced in the New York Ballet. When he moved back to town, he ran a small convenience store in Upper Alton. He loved playing with his cats.
Richard is survived by his cousin, Betty June Henkhaus of Godfrey, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ethel Hazelton; and brother, Harry Hazelton Jr.
Cremation rites were accorded. There are no services scheduled at his time.
Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery will occur at a later date.
