Myrtle Marie Fredenberg, 95, of Shipman, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
She was born on January 25, 1929, in Michael, IL, the daughter of the late Emial and Irene (Kaiser) Tolbert.
Myrtle married Burnell Fredenberg on December 22, 1945, in Hardin. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2004.
She retired from Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrolton as a Dietary Aide. Myrtle enjoyed reading and was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church.
Myrtle is survived by three children, Sue (Daniel) Bangert of Jerseyville, Burnella Jones of Shipman, and Earl (Deborah) Fredenberg of Godfrey; four grandchildren Patrick Bangert, Debbie Wilson, Chelsea Dunham, and Ivy Cecchini; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and another one due later this year; one brother Harry Tolbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven siblings, Ruth Webster, Lee Tolbert, Marguerite Foster, Emial Tolbert Jr., Martha Gordon, Jesse Tolbert, and Ray Tolbert.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral service at noon on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
Burial will follow at Shipman Cemetery.
