Alice Jean Mancewicz, 82, passed away at 4:33 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Copper Creek Memory Care in Litchfield, IL. She was born July 9, 1942 in New Douglas, IL the daughter of the late Charles and Leona (Buesser) Sievers. She married Joseph Mancewicz at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton on March 7, 1964 and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2016. Alice was a member of St Ambrose Church in Godfrey, and she worked many years for Olin Brass, Easter Seals Society and SIU Dental School as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed walking, golfing and playing the piano, but most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Michael J. Mancewicz (Shelley Fry) of Godfrey, Mark A. Mancewicz (Lisa) of Glen Carbon, four grandchildren, Brooke Jouett (Josh) of Riverton, IL, Joe Mancewicz (Kelly O’Bryrne) of Denver, CO, Matthew Mancewicz (Kimberly) of Parkville, MO and Jake Mancewicz of St. Louis, MO and two great grandchildren, Rhett Jouett and Harper Mancewicz. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Leona Sievers and Evelyn Cruthis. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9 a.m. until time of Memorial service at 10 a.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
