Carol A. Ricks, 75, of Jerseyville, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 3:36 a.m.
She was born on April 27, 1949, in Alton, IL, the daughter of Lewis P. and Elise C. (Rhoades) Jenkins. She married James Lewis Ricks in October of 1969, in Brighton, IL. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2018.
Carol enjoyed crocheting, babysitting kids, and spending time with her family and friends. She made the president's club in Avon as a sales representative for many years.
She is survived by her two children, Becky (Wilson) Schwager of Alton, and Edward (Belinda) Ricks of Cottage Hills; grandchildren, Matthew, Jenny, and Christopher Montgomery, and James, Jacob, and Rosa Ricks great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan Cato, Landon Baker, Jordan Baker, Jason and Americas Austin; and an older sister, Nancy Seefeldt of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. An inurnment graveside service will be on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate.
