Darlene Fay Cox, nee Conklin, 62, of Belleville, IL, born September 2, 1962, in Freeburg, IL, died Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at her residence.
Darlene was a kind and beautiful soul. She was a lifelong learner who continued to seek out opportunities to discover more about everything. Darlene was a warm compassionate and loving person. She would do anything for anybody and would go out of her way to help wherever she could. She had a quirky since of humor and loved to make people laugh. Even in the darkest hours she always had a bright outlook on how things would turn out. She will be remembered with love and will continue to bring joy to the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Tasha and Crystal; her parents, David and Patricia, nee Elmore, Conklin; and her ex-husband, David Cox Sr.
Surviving are her three children, Chassity (Bryan) Beisner, Shasta Cox, and David Cox Jr.; two brothers, David Conklin Jr. and Patrick Conklin; and many grandchildren.
