Robert Irvin Jones, 79, died at 5:26 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born June 13, 1945 in Granite City, he was the son of Barney I. and Pearl E. (Free) Jones.He retired from the Boilermaker Union.
Surviving is a son, Robert R. Jones, two sisters, Shelia M. Jones and Regina L. Jones, a sister, Nancy Stoner of Alton, two brothers, Barney L. Jones (Janet) of Brighton and Sam Jones of Brighton.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen J. Jones and a brother, Gary E. Jones.No services are scheduled at this time.
