Richard Larry Fletcher, 83, died at 6:13 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1941 in Jerseyville, IL the son of the late Carl and Essie (Riddle) Fletcher.
Richard worked as a UAW pipe fitter with Ford Motor Company for many years. He married the former Annette Strowmatt and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Cindy Clendenen (David) of Piasa, IL, three sons, Roger Fletcher of Alton, Drew Cress (Ashley) of Alhambra, and Jeffery Cress Jr. (Lynsey) of Alton, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome Fletcher and and infant brother, Roger Fletcher and one sister, Marie Phillips.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
