Elizabeth Carol Schneedle, 85, of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away at Evercare at University in Edwardsville on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
She was born August 31, 1939, in Collinsville, a daughter of the late Elmer Charles and Dora Luwa (Rayburn) Reynolds.
She married Donald William Schneedle on June 26, 1953, at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri and he passed away on December 24, 1990.
Elizabeth had worked in the mail room at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis for many years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She devoted many hours to Senior Companion through SWIC and always enjoyed playing a slot machine. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brida and Barry Klein of Troy; two sons, Kenneth Schneedle of Granite City and William Schneedle of Granite City; six grandchildren, Todd Smith, Kevin Schneedle, Brian Smith, Krystal Connor, Elizabeth Schneedle and Caleb Klein; three great grandchildren, Kallen Connor, Kameron Connor and Preston Tarrent; a sister, Sharon Yowell of Fenton, Missouri; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Lee Schneedle; a brother, Chuck Reynolds and her special friend, Bud Rellman.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.
Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
