John E. Warix, 53, of East Alton, IL, passed away at 6:19 p.m. Wed. Feb. 19, 2025 at his home.
He was born Apr. 25, 1971 in Alton, IL to Karen (Henson) Vossenkemper of East Alton and the late William Warix.
On Oct. 25, 1997, he and Christine M. Stephan were married in South Roxana, IL. She survives.
John had been a cabinet maker, working for New Space. He was also an artist and loved to draw.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Katlyn (Jordan) Childers of Worden, IL; 2 sons: Jonathan (Amber Carstens) Warix of Worden and Cody Arnold of East Alton; 2 grandchildren: Trevor and Madelynn; a brother: William Warix; and 2 sisters: Joanna (Russell) Flatt of Cottage Hills, IL and Tonya (Dan) Tinker of Cedar Hill, MO.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Tues. Feb. 25, 2025 at Paynic Home for Funerals with Pastor Tony Rangel officiating.
