Daniel Lee Becherer, 75, of Fenton, MO, born on January 1, 1950, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his home in Fenton, MO.
Daniel began his passion for piano playing at 13 years old at St. Clare of Assisi. For about 40 years, Daniel played piano and organ for St. Clare of Assisi, which included many weddings, funerals, and even held piano lessons. His love for educating the youth extended to teaching at local elementary schools throughout his life.
His hobbies included swimming, teaching and learning (especially science topics), working in the yard, and, in recent years, never missing a St. Louis Blues hockey game. Above all, Daniel loved spending time and being with his family. He often traveled out of state to visit his daughter and grand-pups. One of his life’s greatest joys was helping to raise his young grandchildren, Wyatt and Hope.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Becherer.
Surviving Daniel are his beloved wife, Kathy Becherer (nee Kersey); two children, Joshua (Erin) Becherer and Christina Becherer; his mother, Esther Becherer (nee Meyer); two brothers, Dale (Cole Kinney) Becherer, and Harvey (Tana) Becherer; along with two grandchildren, Wyatt and Hope Becherer.
