Tera Ann Wiegand, age 46, passed away on March 5, 2025, at 7:37 PM at Barnes Jewish Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born in Saint Joseph Hospital in Alton IL December 21, 1978, to Mary Wiegand and Terry Wiegand.
Tera graduated from Edwardsville High School and went on to earn an associate's degree in early childhood development and psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She was a teacher at Eden daycare preschool.
Tera was passionate about animals and was well known in the community for her chihuahuas, especially her service dog, Sassy. Tera enjoyed cooking and trying new restaurants. Tera loved pampering herself, by going to nail appointments or getting her hair done. She cherished outings with her son, Kody, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever possible.
Tera is survived by her son, Kody Timmons; her mother, Mary Wiegand; her sister, Crystal Wiegand; her nieces, Rose Wiegand, Crystal “Candy” Wiegand, and Serenity Wiegand; as well as her aunts and uncles, Larry Shimunek, Diane (Mike) Mitchell, Joan Shimunek, Rick Shimunek, and David (Chris) Shimunek.
She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Wiegand, and her uncle, Anton "Tony" Shimunek.
Cremation rites were accorded.
