
George Henry Hueter, age 89 of Greenville, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 9, 2025, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville.
Funeral 12:00 Noon Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are asked to be made to the Bond Service Christian Camp.
George, the son of Mervyn and Opal Jett Hueter, was born on the family farm November 8, 1935. He grew up on the farm, attended the local schools and graduated from Greenville High School. George perused his passion of wanting to teach and he graduated from Greenville College with his degree in education. He taught mathematics at Greenville High School for many years.
George was also a life-long farmer and continued to farm grain until his heath no longer allowed him to go on. He was also a long-time member of the Woburn Church of Christ, he and Martha attended church there.
George and Martha E. Nolan were united in marriage on August 2, 1974. Martha passed away on October 11, 2009.
Surviving is his daughter Karen Blankenship of Greenville, son Greyson Hueter and wife Mary of Highland, and stepdaughter Debbie O’Brien of Wisconsin, brother Loren Hueter and wife Doris of North Carolina and sister Louise Downen of Greenville. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of family.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Martha, son Gaylan Hueter in 2017, sister Lois Peterson, and sister Florine Drew.
