Marcella “Marcie” Wilson, 64, went to heaven at 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at City of Hope Cottages in California.
She was born September 13, 1960 in Alton, the daughter of the late William and Marcella (Sinclair) Wilson. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Orange County, CA.
After graduating from Jerseyville Community High School, Marcie attended Blackburn College. She worked as a paralegal in Chicago, IL before attending law school at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, CA, where she graduated in 1990.
In 1991 she began working as a corporate lawyer for various insurance companies. Marcie was devoted to her current job at Farmers Insurance Company and worked endless hours to become an excellent lawyer.
Surviving are one sister, Margaret “Maggie” Wilson of Grafton, IL, two nephews, Jesse Weller and companion Paula and her daughter, Charlotte of Grafton, IL, Travis Weller and his wife Elizabeth “Beth” and their daughters, Gracie and Claire of Jerseyville, IL and one Aunt, Norma Sinclair and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
