Deborah Schooler, 63, passed away peacefully at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at her mother’s residence.
She was born on July 29, 1961, in Carrollton, Illinois, to John Lewis and JoAnn (Jackson) Crafton.
Deborah married Rodney Schooler on February 12, 2013, in Edwardsville, Illinois. He preceded her in death.
She formally worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City and St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis in geriatric services. She will be remembered for her love of music, shopping, and the time she cherished with friends and loved ones.
Deborah is survived by her mother, JoAnn; a niece, Jennifer Terpening (Keith Kallahan); a nephew, Shaun Crafton; and one grandson, Hayden Schooler.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Crafton; her husband, Rodney Schooler; her son, Matthew Terpening; her daughter, Crystal Terpening; her brother, Steven Crafton; and her sister, Lori Terpening.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes in Godfrey, Illinois.
Burial will take place at a later date.
