Michael Edward Hedrick, 85, of Benld, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 3:45 am.
He was born July 8, 1939 to Jess Hedrick & Mary Arlesic Hedrick. He married Virginia Rose "Babe" Throne Hedrick on December 8, 1961 in Alton, IL.
He was retired after having been a steelworker for Laclede Steel. Michael enjoyed fishing, trapping and working on cars.
He is survived by his spouse, Virginia "Babe" Hedrick of Benld, IL, children, Todd (companion, Diana Grothaus) Hedrick of Benld, IL, Brad (spouse, Susie) Hedrick of St. Clair, MO, Bruce (spouse, Lynette) Hedrick of Gillespie, IL, Travis (spouse, Lori) Hedrick of Frisco, TX, grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Abbey (Bret), Madi, Chloe, Sofia, Ayla, Harlow, great-grandchildren, Delilah, Ellie, Laine, Rory, siblings, Mary Ann Richardson of Benld, IL and Mildred Stockstill of Mackinaw, IL.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brothers in law, William Richardson, Harold Stockstill, Bob Haycraft, and Bruce Throne.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Joseph's Church in Benld from 9:30 am until 11:00 am.
Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Joseph's Church in Benld at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Benld Cemetery, Benld, IL.
