Florence L. Schubert, nee Vielweber, 98, of Fayetteville, IL, born February 17, 1927, in Freeburg Township, IL, died Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her residence.
Florence retired from Martha Manning Garment Co. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Fayetteville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter H. “Copper” Schubert, Jr., whom she married on November 8, 1947, and who died on October 3, 2008; her parents, Henry F. and Ida E., nee Schanz, Vielweber; four brothers, Lester, Leroy, Alvin, and Walter Vielweber; two sisters, Vernell (Glen) Brandenburger and Viola (Arthur) Weber.
She is survived by her son, Eric W. “Ricky” Schubert; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
When Florence's mother-in-law passed away, Florence became our family matriarch. She provided love and support to all the children and grandchildren left behind. She made sure we each had a birthday cake every year and so much more. She was also able to pass on stories of our lives and adventures from over more than 80 years ago. She will be very missed by us all.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL.
Burial will be at Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Fayetteville, IL.
