Debra Sue Maurer, age 71 of Greenville, passed away April 23, 2025, at Highland Healthcare in Highland, Illinois.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Montrose Cemetery.
Deb was born January 8, 1954 in Greenville. She was the daughter of Henry Charles "Sonny" Maurer and Opal Lucille Black. Deb attended the local schools and graduated from Greenville High School.
She was a huge Disney fan and collected all sorts of Disney memorabilia. Deb also had a love for animals and wildlife, often she would post pictures of deer and turkey on her Facebook. If you knew deb, you know a way to her heart was by bringing her a caramel frappuccino (pictured above delivered by her dear friend Gabriel).
"Goodbye may seem forever....farewell is like the end...but in my heart is a memory...and there, you'll always be." Disney's "The Fox and The Hound" seems to be the most appropriate ending.
